The new easy-carry, reclosable stand-up pouch from Curwood is edgy, attention-getting and extremely versatile for packaging everything from beverages to dried foods to fertilizer.

Oshkosh, Wisconsin - January 25, 2007 - This isn't your father's stand-up pouch...the new premade ExpressTote™ bag from Curwood looks and performs like an eye-catching travel bag and can easily hold up to 50 pounds of product. The package features sturdy nylon coex handles along with a wide-mouth opening, gusseted stand-up bottom and handy reclosable slider zipper for ultimate portability and convenience. It's available in a wide range of clear, white, metallic or holographic materials, both barrier and non-barrier, and can be reverse-printed either flexo or rotogravure for a high-gloss, high-impact presentation at retail.

Express Tote

The ExpressTote™ bag from Curwood makes an ideal on-the-go promotional tote for chilled beverages or a great portable package for bulk dried or granular products.

Used commercially as a canned beverage pack that turns into an instant on-the-go chill pack simply by adding ice, the waterproof ExpressTote bag is ideal for any food or beverage that gets toted to sporting events, picnics, parties and the like. Once the product contents are depleted, the durable ExpressTote bag can be reused by the consumer, creating ongoing brand exposure.

Because of its sturdy construction and portability, the ExpressTote bag is also perfect for bulk scoopable or pourable products that would normally be housed in a multiwall bag, pail or tub. Examples include foodservice or club store items such as oatmeal, rice or flour; lawn care products like plant food or fertilizer; or household goods including charcoal and driveway salt.

As an alternative to using the ExpressTote bag as a primary package, brand marketers may wish to offer the tote itself for point-of-purchase sale as part of a promotion.

"The ExpressTote bag is designed to help brand marketers build awareness and excitement for their products," says Jon Pietsch, Market Manager for Curwood. "It's got everything going for it: novelty, quality and ultra convenience."

The ExpressTote bag's nylon handles are engineered to stay comfortable and avoid distortion despite heavy weights. Because of its horizontal format, the tote's opening is a full web width so the contents can be easily accessed. The tote bag's slider closure provides the secure, consistent reclosability that consumers prefer.

With tough, puncture-resistant construction, the ExpressTote bag provides comparable protection to a rigid container but uses a fraction of the material, creating an opportunity for source reduction. Materials can be engineered with the precise level of barrier protection required.
