Bemis on Environmental Responsibility…and Beyond
At Bemis, we believe that the interests of business, the environment and our global community must be addressed in balance to develop meaningful and effective sustainable solutions. So we approach sustainability through a triple focus, incorporating Environmental, Economic and Social considerations.
- Environmental — we are committed to reducing Bemis’s impact on the planet and conserving our resources. Areas of focus include helping stakeholders to use less packaging overall; developing effective new sustainable materials; reducing waste in the food distribution chain through enhanced protective packaging; minimizing manufacturing waste; and producing materials efficiently through responsible use of energy and resources. - Economic — for 150 years, Bemis has demonstrated a sustainable business model, adapting to change, and evolving from a small manufacturer of cotton bags to a global leader in flexible packaging and pressure sensitive materials. This has allowed us to contribute to the economic stability of our communities, deliver value to stakeholders, and invest in the ongoing development of more sustainable, functional packaging technologies. - Social — we seek to improve the lives of people touched through Bemis and our products, ensuring packaging safety; protecting employee and environmental safety; and giving back to our communities and industry. Learn More.

NEW! Chlorine-Free Eco-TiteTM Shrink Bags
Eco-Tite Shrink Bags feature a new chlorine-free coextrusion that uses 25% less packaging material than traditional shrink bags.
Why chlorine-free? Traditional shrink bags containing chloride release carcinogenic dioxins in the environment if incinerated, and can contaminate the recycling stream if mistakenly mixed with other recyclable materials.
Besides offering a cleaner, greener option, Eco-Tite bags deliver superior abrasion and puncture resistance, improved sealing capabilities, high gloss and clarity, as well as exceptional shrink and barrier properties. It's a sustainable choice for everything from cheese to meat!
